The Jabberwock was the premier folk music club in Berkeley in the sixties. Located on Telegraph Avenue in the heart of Berkeley, the Coffeehouse catered to students, intellectuals, folkies and the like. As the scene across the Bay in San Francisco became the home base for the psychedelic rock scene, Berkeley and the Jabberwock provided a much-needed base for Folk, Jazz, Bluegrass, and other styles of American roots music.  The club created an impressive series of   interesting and artistic handbills, which represented the culture of Berkeley at the time.  They are a must for true collectors of the era.

This handbill was created for a week of shows at the end of March in 1967. The art and lettering by Lee Siegel is both beautiful and odd.
