Mothers, Café Au Go Go *Mint Condition*

$10,525.00

The Café Au Go Go was a Greenwich Village nightclub that was the home to some of the greatest performances of the 1960’s. During its tenure, the club showcased the talents of the Grateful Dead, Muddy Waters and Van Morrison to name just a few. A room above the club was known as “Upstairs“ and later the Garrick Theater. The Mothers of Invention who were formed by the immensely creative composer and witty songwriting talent, Frank Zappa, had a reputation for great musicianship, theater and outrageousness, played an historic run of concerts at the Garrick Theatre in 1967.  These shows attracted many of the most influential musicians and artists of the day.  Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton jammed with the group at the Garrick.  This poster was created for an extended engagement by The Mothers in May through September of 1967. Frank Zappa is one of the most revered musical artists of all time, and Zappa collectibles experience feverish worldwide demand whenever they are offered on the market.

High quality examples of this historic poster are practically non-existent.
